This competition is to fill a 2-year term/anticipatory perm position. Temporary assignments may be considered.

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Services team. This position is responsible for administering the Government of Yukon's Insurance and Risk Management Program, with the primary objective of minimizing or mitigating potential liability and property losses across government operations. The role serves as the government's central source of expertise and information on insurance and risk management, providing strategic guidance on the risks and exposures faced by the Government of Yukon.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience researching, developing and analyzing business or policy options;
  • Experience developing and providing advice to senior managers;
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining risk management programs;
  • Experience facilitating workshops or training sessions;
  • Coursework/degree in business administration or commerce, or professional accounting designation is an asset.
  • Completion of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation and/or other insurance industry certification and/or coursework is an asset.


Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
