BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGER - OPERATIONS

What you will do will

In this vital role you will partner with senior functional leaders to support business performance, operational planning, metrics management, and informed decision-making. This role will provide data-driven insights, coordinate business processes, prepare leadership communications, and enable effective execution of functional priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with our Manufacturing and Engineering teams, and collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Environmental Health and Safety, and other site functions to improve performance visibility, organizational alignment, and operational effectiveness.

Business Performance and Analytics

  • Support functional leaders in monitoring business performance, operational priorities, and organizational objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate key performance indicators, scorecards, dashboards, and other performance measures.
  • Analyze operational data and performance trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring leadership attention.
  • Translate complex information into concise insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting of business performance information.


Business Planning and Performance Processes
  • Facilitate annual business planning, goal setting, objective deployment, and periodic performance review activities.
  • Support resource, budget, headcount, and operational planning in partnership with functional leaders and Finance.
  • Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and validation of information required for business planning and reporting.
  • Help functional leaders translate organizational priorities into clear actions, measures, and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress against business commitments and highlight potential gaps or emerging risks.


Leadership and Business Review Support
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for leadership meetings, functional business reviews, and governance forums.
  • Develop concise executive presentations, performance summaries, briefing materials, and leadership communications.
  • Maintain action, decision, and commitment trackers to support timely follow-through.
  • Anticipate leadership information needs and ensure relevant data and insights are readily available.
  • Support effective communication of priorities, performance, risks, and decisions across functional teams.


Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Environmental Health and Safety, and other site functions to support functional and site objectives.
  • Facilitate alignment among stakeholders by coordinating inputs, clarifying deliverables, and communicating priorities and dependencies.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for assigned business performance activities.
  • Build productive relationships across functions and organizational levels to enable efficient execution.


Continuous Improvement and Digital Enablement
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve business processes, reporting methods, and management routines.
  • Support the use of digital tools, data analytics, visualization, and automation to improve performance visibility and decision support.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methods to address business process gaps.
  • Promote consistent, efficient, and data-driven ways of working within supported functions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of performance management experience OR
  • Associate's degree and 8 years of performance management experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of performance management experience OR
  • Master's degree and 2 years of performance management experience OR
  • Doctorate degree


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Manufacturing and/or Engineering operations in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and associated business processes.
  • Experience with business performance management, operational planning, metrics, reporting, and data analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to support senior leaders and anticipate business and information needs.
  • Ability to develop concise executive presentations, leadership communications, and performance summaries.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of emerging AI technologies and their practical application within manufacturing, business operations, analytics, and process improvement environments.
  • Ability to translate data and complex information into clear business insights and recommended actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Foundational project management skills and experience coordinating cross-functional activities are desirable.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
