Full Job Description
The Role

As Business Operations, you'll help shape the frameworks, systems, and processes that keep Rilla moving at the speed we're known for. You'll work directly with leadership and embed yourself across eng, product, sales, and go-to-market - partnering with some of the sharpest people you've ever worked with to solve problems that don't have clean answers.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll tear apart broken processes and rebuild them. You'll find the thing three people are doing manually and automate it. You'll walk into a team that's scaling faster than their systems can handle and not leave until there's structure.

It's an ideal role for someone who is exceptionally organized, thrives in high-expectations environments, and wants to operate at the center of uncertainty.

Who You Are
  • A customer obsessive. Someone who deeply cares about delighting clients and solving their pains, not about vanity metrics.
  • An infinite learner. You are always looking to learn more and learn faster. You feel uneasy when you get complacent, and you're constantly seeking discomfort.
  • A team player. You love giving and receiving feedback and learning and growing as a team.
  • Unafraid of failure. You take risks. You see failure as an opportunity to learn, grow, and be better the next time. In a weird way, you trick your brain into being excited when you fail because it means you get a new opportunity to learn more.
  • Affinity for the unconventional. You get a kick out of rejecting conventional wisdom. And you're not afraid to try weird, crazy, and quite possibly stupid ideas.
  • Extremely focused. You practice extreme focus in everything you do. You're always looking to prioritize your time and resources for maximum efficiency.
What You'll Do
  • Get embedded in teams across Rilla such as eng, product, sales, GTM to understand how they work, find what's slowing them down, and build the structure to fix it
  • Turn messy, manual, or missing processes into systems that scale
  • Implement and manage tools that keep every team operating at peak performance (think CRMs, dashboards, automation)
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and create solutions that improve efficiency company-wide
  • Oversee systems access management, granting and revoking permissions as needed

What We Need
  • 2-5+ years in strategy consulting, business operations, finance, or other analytical/strategy roles
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; mastery of Excel/Sheets modeling
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems, structure approaches, and execute with speed and rigor
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analysis for non-technical audiences
  • High ownership, low ego, and willingness to work across both high-stakes strategic projects and detailed execution
  • Comfort in fast-changing, high-growth environments where priorities evolve quickly

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with CRMs, workflow automation tools, or business intelligence platforms
  • Exposure to early-stage or high-growth startups where you've had to build from scratch
  • You've fixed something that wasn't technically your problem to fix

Don't Work Here

Please don't join if you're not excited about:
  1. Working ~70 hrs/week in person with some of the most ambitious people in NYC
  2. Attempting to build a generational company, and the intensity required to do so

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000/year.

Successful candidates with competing offers will receive matching and competitive offers.

Total compensation for this position may also include Incentive Stock Options and other potential future incentives. This estimate excludes the value of any benefits offered and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.

  • Gym membership
  • Commuter benefits
  • Relocation assistance
  • Take what you need, paid time off, not accrual-based
  • $1,000 stipend for learning and personal growth
  • Tech equipment
