Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and four years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science degree.
- Ten (10) years of relevant clinical and/or administrative research experience.
- Experience working within UT systems.
Job Summary:To assist the Department Administrator and Assistant Administrator in the overall management of the department. Coordinates and manages a variety of activities in support of the department with a focus upon staff coordination, policy and procedure development, strategic planning, and organizational analysis.
Job Duties:
- Directs administrative support activities for the department, including developing, scheduling, and maintaining applicable records, agendas, minutes, reports, and plans.
- Develops planning, management, and organizational analysis documents; establishes goals and objectives; directs and coordinates development of guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards to improve operations.
- Works with the Department Administrator to develop long- and short-term goals for the department and strategic plans.
- Interviews and hires employees.
- Supervises administrative staff as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
- Responsible for staff development of administrative personnel.
- Oversees transitional activities related to the implementation of organizational and procedural changes.
- Assists in the planning and budgeting of the department.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for the department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Completes special projects, informational surveys, and ad hoc reports.
- Performs related duties as required.
Salary Range:Actual salary is commensurate.
Work Schedule:On-site, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed on occasion.
