Summary:As a Business Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate KPI-based reporting and creating ad hoc analyses around operational processes and sales activity. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including operations, sales, and finance, to monitor and improve operational productivity and service profitability, and support the smooth execution of our business plans. This role requires advanced proficiency in Excel and other forecasting systems.
What You'll Do: - Conduct advanced analysis of operational performance, service delivery, productivity, financial results, and key business metrics to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and facilitate recurring KPI reporting for business leaders, ensuring performance metrics are accurate, meaningful, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Analyze actual versus budgeted results, forecast performance, and provide insights into variances, business drivers, and financial outcomes.
- Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders to support pricing strategies for new and existing business, customer profitability analyses, and business growth initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc analyses on customers, operations, business processes, and performance trends to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support month-end reporting and analysis activities by partnering with Finance and Accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial and operational reporting.
- Evaluate market, customer, competitive, and operational trends to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support organizational objectives.
- Actively support strategic planning initiatives by providing analytical expertise, business intelligence, and performance insights to guide operational and financial decision-making.
- Collaborate with site, regional, and senior leadership to review business performance, identify key areas of focus, and enhance reporting capabilities to better support operational goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Commercial, and other stakeholders to ensure analytical assumptions are accurate, business decisions are supported by reliable data, and cost-control initiatives are effectively monitored.
- Measure and monitor the effectiveness of business initiatives through established metrics and KPIs, providing recommendations to optimize performance and achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, data integrity, and reporting capabilities; lead or support implementation efforts to drive sustainable improvements.
- Prepare and present analytical findings, recommendations, and business insights to leadership and key stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable format.
What You'll Bring: - Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence / analytics or data management.
- Experience using ERP systems, ability to extract, clean, evaluate and model data.
- Experience developing and maintain reports in Power BI or similar BI visualization tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other forecasting systems/financial modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends effectively.
- Effective and collaborative communicator with proven presentation skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of logistics principles and practices is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Information:- Salary Range: $68,100 - $97,240
