As a Business Manager supporting Enterprise Execution, Claims, and the Federal Employee Program (FEP), you will work alongside leaders to strengthen planning, improve business operations, and advance shared priorities to improve the experience of our members and providers.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Planning & Business Operations
  • Partner with leaders to manage strategic planning cycles, priorities, objectives, roadmaps, OKRs, and execution plans.
  • Facilitate the rhythm of the business through leadership meetings, performance reviews, strategic priority discussions, and cross-functional planning.
  • Anticipate business needs, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend solutions that support organizational goals.


Enterprise Execution & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Support enterprise-wide planning, governance, scorecard reviews, performance reporting, and strategic change efforts.
  • Partner across functions to align priorities, facilitate business reviews, and connect people, information, and processes to advance enterprise execution.
  • Support organizational effectiveness initiatives, including restructuring, operational improvements, vendor transitions, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.
  • Build relationships across the BCBSA system to learn best practices and ensure understanding of new BCBSA initiatives in order to drive execution internally.


Performance Reporting & Communication
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly business reviews, performance discussions, and leadership reporting.
  • Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and performance indicators that translate insights into action.
  • Create executive-ready presentations, briefings, communications, and business updates for leadership audiences.


Financial Planning, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, business cases, budgets, workforce planning, headcount management, and capacity planning.
  • Evaluate operational, financial, and strategic tradeoffs and recommend actions that support organizational objectives.
  • Drive process improvement and modernization by leveraging technology, data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to streamline work and improve decision-making.


What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience developing, implementing, supporting, or improving strategic programs, business processes, or operational initiatives through program management, project management, change management, business operations, or a combination of these areas.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
  • Proven ability to partner with leaders, advance business priorities, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives while navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Aptitude for identifying process-improvement opportunities and leveraging technology, automation, and AI to improve efficiency, innovation, and business outcomes.
  • An ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and independently solve complex, undefined problems.
  • A customer-focused mindset that can relate business operations to the end goal of improving the experience for our members and providers.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.

National Plus Salary Range:
$101,900.00 - $173,200.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
