The Business Manager serves as a strategic partner to division leadership, driving business planning, operational execution, and cross functional alignment. This role leads the development and management of plans of record, oversees complex programs from concept through commercialization, and ensures that priorities, resources, and timelines align with the organization's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in telecommunications, strong program leadership capabilities, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Drive strategic planning in partnership with executive leadership, ensuring initiatives, investments, and priorities align with business goals.
- Lead the development, execution, and governance of plans of record, including schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risk management.
- Facilitate executive decision-making by synthesizing critical data, coordinating stakeholder input, and framing recommendations.
- Program & Portfolio Management
- Oversee multiple complex programs from inception through launch, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Establish and maintain program governance, milestone tracking, risk mitigation plans, and cross-functional communication rhythms.
- Partner closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, product management, and customer engineering teams to resolve issues and maintain alignment.
- Business Analytics & Forecasting
- Lead consolidation, analysis, and reporting of unit forecasts and business performance metrics for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Product to support Outlooks, Budgets, Demand Sign-Off, and MDF planning.
- Apply market insights-particularly in the mobile handset industry-to validate forecasts and identify trends.
- Commercial & Contract Leadership
- Lead negotiation of complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs) in partnership with Sales, ensuring alignment with financial and operational commitments.
- Oversee annual pricing updates, renewals, payment terms, and compliance with all MSA requirements.
- Evaluate new business proposals to ensure strategic and financial fit.
- Cross-Functional Influence & Executive Engagement
- Build strong relationships across the organization to drive alignment, resolve issues, and accelerate decision-making.
- Lead ad hoc strategic initiatives and special projects as requested by senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing data-driven insights, clear communication, and sound judgment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Up to 10 years of experience in telecommunications or related industry in business operations, program management, or strategic planning roles.
- Proven success managing large, complex, and ambiguous programs in fast paced environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across matrixed teams and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable, with exceptional execution discipline.
