Business Manager, Insights & Analytics - Community Finance
The Community Finance team is in growth mode to support the delivery of our $265B community benefits plan and larger community impact commitments post-merger. The business insights and analytics team is at the center of building and enabling the platform that powers our deal teams. You will also be working directly with leaders to drive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy, reporting, and analytics:
- Develop financial and operational KPI monitoring suites and provide strategic recommendations to leadership to help steer the business
- Improve central business reporting and analytics functions.
- Infrastructure and innovation:
- Own and maintain pricing tools
- Partner with product and tech teams to modernize our platform, including adoption of enterprise AI and automation
- Build and maintain data models and QC monitoring
- Partner with UWPM, Credit Officers, and Originators to manage existing and pursue new products
- Syndicator operations:
- Centralize and aggregate syndicator data to generate actionable insights and elevate syndicator relationships
- Analyze syndicator performance to develop partnership playbooks and review or update syndicator agreement.
- Partnership:
- Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including teams within Community Finance,Tech and Commercial to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
- Strong executive communication skills:
- Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Clear results orientation:
- Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
- Demonstrated successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in analysis
- 2+ years of experience in financial services
- 1+ year of experience in consulting
- 2+ years of experience in people management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Business Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
