The
Business Manager, Americas - Plain Bearings is responsible for leading the Americas business management function to drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction across North America and Latin America. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for inside sales and customer service teams while partnering closely with external sales specialists, Timken regional leadership, account managers, and global stakeholders.
The Business Manager will develop and execute commercial strategies, pricing initiatives, sales processes, and customer engagement plans that support sustainable growth of the Plain Bearings product portfolio. This leader will drive business process improvements, manage escalation and pricing processes, ensure superior customer support, and build a high-performing team capable of delivering exceptional results in a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Americas Plain Bearings business management function, driving profitable growth across North America and Latin America.
- Develop and execute regional business strategies, sales plans, and growth initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, expand market share, and improve commercial performance.
- Collaborate with Timken regional teams globally to strengthen distributor, OEM, and end-user relationships and accelerate product adoption.
- Support and influence sales teams to effectively promote and grow the Plain Bearings portfolio across target markets.
- Develop annual sales, profit, and budget plans, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Lead the customer service organization to ensure exceptional customer support, issue resolution, and order execution.
- Manage, coach, and develop inside sales teams to enhance customer engagement and support external sales efforts.
- Create and implement pricing strategies, processes, and governance across the Americas to maximize profitability and align global pricing standards.
- Drive business process improvements, escalation management, and operational excellence initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and commercial effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, business management, customer service, commercial leadership, or related functions within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment.
- Experience leading customer service, inside sales, or commercial teams.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and pricing strategies.
- Demonstrated success driving business growth and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across regions, functions, and organizational levels.
- Experience within the bearings, power transmission, industrial motion, automotive, or engineered products industries preferred.
- Experience leading and developing teams across multiple countries within North America and Latin America preferred.
- Knowledge of distributor channels, OEM customers, and industrial end-user markets preferred.
- MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary Range: The yearly compensation for this role is $127,680 - $159,600 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Actual pay may be higher or lower than the posted range.
