The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems and issues using data from various data sources to provide insight to decision-makers. You will work on problems of diverse scope with a heavy focus on all things Power BI and SQL, reporting to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence.
What You Will Do:
- You will apply analytical and problem-solving expertise to navigate complex new and existing business challenges, leveraging data to uncover solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support strategic business decision-making.
- Analyze complex business problems by leveraging data from multiple sources to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Business Intelligence solutions with moderate to high levels of complexity.
- Partner with executive leaders to understand reporting needs and deliver data-driven recommendations that support enterprise objectives.
- Develop and maintain data models, KPIs, and performance metrics to improve visibility into business performance.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting environments and analytical solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of BI processes, reporting frameworks, and analytics capabilities through automation and best practices.
- Perform advanced data analysis to uncover root causes, forecast outcomes, and support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Power BI, providing guidance on report design, data visualization standards, and analytics best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 8 or more years of technical experience using Power BI and SQL.
- 1 or more years of technical experience using Power Automate.
- 2 or more years of project leadership experience
- Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations.
- Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs
- Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data.
- Experience presenting to senior and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with DAX Studio, including its use for Power BI performance tuning, DAX query analysis, troubleshooting, and data model optimization.
- Familiarity with STAR Schema best practices and real-world application.
- Power BI Certified.
- Certified in SQL and/or other related data specific technologies.
- Deep experience with Power Platform such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience transforming JSON data.
- Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling.
- Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors.
- Reside in EST zone.
Additional Information
- As part of the interview process, you will be required to participate in a live technical exercise designed to validate your SQL and Power BI expertise.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humanas offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$117,600 - $161,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
