Business Intelligence Engineer
Job Location: Brea, CA - Hybrid PositionJob Summary: (list 5 primary responsibilities)In this role, your primary responsibilities are (but not limited to):
- Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data for reporting and analytics
- Design and develop data models and semantic layers optimized for business intelligence consumption
- Translate reporting and analytics requirements into performant, well-structured data solutions
- Implement solutions within the architectural standards and patterns defined by the Data Architect
- Monitor and tune data systems and models for performance, reliability, and accuracy
- Document pipeline configurations, data models, and processes to support maintenance and troubleshooting
- Apply data security and governance standards in alignment with organizational policies
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to ensure data meets reporting needs
- Serve as a technical resource for the analyst team on data modeling and pipeline questions
Requirements for Success: (list 4 - 5 primary requirements)- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or related technical roles
- Proficiency in SQL Server and the Microsoft data platform
- Experience building data models and reports in Power BI
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices
- Familiarity with data security and governance best practices
