SCOT's Regional team for Mexico is seeking an experience and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer who enjoys the challenge of diving into complex problems in the areas of assortment optimization and helping our senior executives make high judgement decisions involving profitability, customer experience, and scalable execution. The focus will be on curating selection decisions for desired business objectives (e.g. fast delivery speed, and special regional formats), unblocking local experimentation and scaling automated actions based on underlying economics and customer demand signals
The successful candidate will have strong quantitative data mining and modeling skills and be comfortable working on new and sometimes ambiguous problems from concept through to execution. They will have strong communication and leadership skills, will be able to collaborate with other teams (e.g. software development, economists, data engineering) and to present findings to senior audiences to drive business improvements. We expect this candidate to raise the bar on any of the following categories: Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, Performant Self Service Toolsets and Data analytics. Candidate might be willing to work with the others BIEs in order to solve organizational problems at scale and setting the grounds of a healthy data products offer while delivering what is required by business.
Key job responsibilities
- Analyze and synthesize large data streams across multiple systems/inputs.
- Work with Product Managers to understand customer behaviors, spot system defects, and benchmark our ability to serve our customers, improving a wide range of internal products that impact selection decisions both nationally and regionally
- Develop business insights basis data extraction, data analytics, trend deduction & Pattern recognition.
- Present these business insights to senior management/executives.
- Create advanced dashboard to help a large group of teams to consume insights make changes to business process and track progress.
- Build analytical models that can help improve business outcomes at scale enhancing current system abilities.
- Partner with category & business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and innovation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or above in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- 2+ years of Tableau Desktop, Quicksight or other relevant data visualization software experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or above in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
