Department: Commercial / Marketing
Location: Remote, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Schedule: Full Time
Reports to: Vice President, Global Marketing

Summary

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who can find the story behind the data and turn it into action.

This role goes beyond building dashboards and producing reports. You'll take business questions, determine how to investigate them, analyze data from multiple sources, identify what is driving performance, and translate your findings into clear insights and recommendations.

Working across Marketing, Product, Sales, Finance, Service, and Medical Education, you'll help leaders understand what is happening, why it matters, and what we should consider doing next.

Success in this role requires a strong combination of analytical ability, business curiosity, and communication skills.

What You'll Get to Do

Commercial Analytics & Insights
  • Analyze customer, revenue, pipeline, product, pricing, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and underlying business drivers.
  • Independently structure analyses around ambiguous business questions rather than relying on predefined reporting requirements.
  • Go beyond reporting what happened to determine why it happened, what it means, and what actions should be considered.
  • Conduct win/loss, customer adoption, pricing, segmentation, and growth analyses.
  • Model adoption curves and commercial scenarios to identify revenue opportunities and portfolio risks.
  • Develop actionable recommendations and confidently challenge assumptions when the data tells a different story.

NPI & Market Intelligence
  • Own NPI performance analysis across revenue, customer adoption, funnel progression, and regional performance.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis to identify performance drivers and recommend corrective actions.
  • Build TAM/SAM/SOM models and analyze competitive products, pricing, positioning, and market trends.
  • Combine third-party research with internal data to evaluate markets, customer segments, and commercial opportunities.
  • Design and conduct market research to answer key business questions.

Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools that help leaders understand performance and identify areas requiring deeper analysis.
  • Define and standardize commercial KPIs, data definitions, and sources of truth.
  • Reconcile information across CRM, Finance, Marketing, and other systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Deliver analysis and insights for business reviews, Annual Operating Planning, Product Council, and strategic planning.

Communication & Business Partnership
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, concise, decision-ready insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create executive-ready presentations that explain what happened, why it happened, why it matters, and what you recommend.
  • Clearly communicate and defend analytical conclusions, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Partner across Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Service, Finance, and Medical Education to identify analytical needs and support business decisions.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business, commercial, marketing, or related analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze data, identify insights, and develop business recommendations, not solely produce dashboards or recurring reports.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to business leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous questions and imperfect data.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Experience working with large datasets across CRM, financial, marketing, or commercial systems. Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar experience is valuable.
  • Ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and root causes and connect them to business impact.
  • Comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and developing an independent point of view from the data.
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Healthcare, medical device, or B2B technology experience preferred.

What Will Set You Apart

You don't stop when you find the number. You want to understand what is driving it.

You can take an unclear business problem, determine what data you need, investigate it, and develop a point of view without waiting for someone to tell you exactly what to analyze. Just as importantly, you can explain your findings simply and confidently to people who don't work with data every day.
