Title: Business Intelligence Analyst II

Worksite Location: 3333 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Hybrid work schedule involving onsite work at our location in Cincinnati, OH and telecommuting may be permitted.

Duties:

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst II in Cincinnati, OH to analyze complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Forecast, recommend, and support strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Work with business and/or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required/available data elements. Optimize the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data filters and indexes that add value to users. Develop business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions. Build and maintain simple to moderate dashboards utilizing enterprise data systems (such as Epic SlicerDicer, Caboodle & Clarity, SAP/Crystal, Business Objects, etc.). Participate in technical code reviews, including reviewing simple code of others. Perform change management when reporting system modifications are needed. Follow build, configuration, and release management processes and meet user and technical documentation standards as set by Cincinnati Children's. Translate business user questions into data solutions. Utilize and contribute to the organizational information glossary and governed definitions when analyzing and creating reports. Provide enduser training as required for new hires or when changes are made to existing applications/systems. Create educational materials for end-user training, adoption, and activation, including job aids, lesson plans, and quick-start guides. Provide ad hoc analysis for hospital departments and divisions accurately and in a timely manner, including assistance with understanding the data and potential gaps. Maintain Epic certifications where appropriate. Expand oral and written communication skills, particularly related to translating customer requirements into BI solutions. Plan and execute testing plans. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Provide accurate and timely communication of status. Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization of assigned tasks. Assist with setting task priorities and timelines. Identify issues and propose potential solutions. Serve as project manager for simple projects. Analyze Business Intelligence requests to align with existing tools and processes. Organize and complete assigned tasks and associated documentation. Use troubleshooting skills to effectively support Business Intelligence solutions. Develop support plans for new solutions. Escalate unresolved issues with urgency. Seek appropriate resources for activities involving multiple tasks. Coordinate and facilitate communication between internal and external parties regarding assigned tasks and issues. Work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers to identify deficiencies and reporting solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Technology, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

2 years experience working with APIs, including understanding, consuming, testing, and integrating RESTful APIs and services.

2 years of experience in API authentication, endpoints, HTTP methods, request/response formats, JSON, error handling, and API documentation.

2 years of experience using APIs to facilitate integrations between applications, systems, and data platforms.

2 years of experience utilizing SQL, Power BI, Denodo, Python, Power Automate, and enterprise reporting technologies to develop analytical solutions and automate business processes.

2 years of experience independently supporting research administration, operational, and executive reporting initiatives with strict accuracy, including prioritizing requests, evaluating business requirements, validating data accuracy, managing required project timelines, and delivering analytical solutions with limited supervision.

2 years of experience in complex reporting and dashboard development.

2 years of experience in technical code review participation.

2 years of experience in project coordination and prioritization.

2 years of experience in Ad hoc analysis of data.

1 year experience in Ad hoc analysis of system issues.

1 year experience presenting performance metrics, and operational insights to senior administrators, and business stakeholders.

1 year experience developing data transformation, automation, and data quality solutions using scripting, including automated data acquisition, transformation, and complex data transformations.

Salary: $85,176.00- $115,169.60 (This is the salary range. Please disregard the expected starting salary range that may be listed elsewhere on this posting).
