Job Summary:

Join the VisionLink team of Cat Digital and be responsible for gathering stakeholder’s requirements around our equipment management applications that leads to analyzing large and complex datasets,  Identify and deliver insights that support better understanding of the customer usage, serves as input for decision-making for application enhancements and go-to market strategies.

What You Will Do:

  • Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of reports/dashboards services/products; Analyzing existing offerings, preparing technical documentation, and recommending upgrades.
  • Identifying user/client requirements for reports or dashboards a product or service and defining technical specifications; Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams; executing to deliver the solution.
  • Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance.

What You Will Have:

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. 
  • Business Data Analysis: Extensive knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Effective Communications: Working understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Requirements Analysis: Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Considerations for Top Candidates: 

  • Proven experience in the ability to query and analyze large & complex data sets in Snowflake or other similar tools (typically 2+ years)
  • Experience with AI workflows such as data pipeline engineering and prompt engineering
  • Proven experience in design and prototyping dynamic views and visualizations for large and complex data sets in Tableau and/or Power BI (typically 2+ years)
  • Practical experience delivering production deployed solutions (typically 2+ years)
  • Self-starter and driven while working well in team environment
  • Strong attention to detail in order to spot inaccuracies in coding or data
  • Experience with data structures using SQL

  • This position will be based out of either our Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL or Broomfield, CO (Denver) offices

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
