Job Location: Houston, Texas



Position Responsibilities:

Works across several Transportation and Storage Compliance programs to develop solutions that ensure the safe and compliant shipment of products. Builds and analyzes data systems, spots important business patterns, creates metrics that measure success and develops ways to validate findings. Works across several Transportation and Storage Compliance programs to develop solutions that ensure the safe and compliant shipment of products. Works on an agile team, building new analysis from ground up, proposing new concepts and technology to meet business needs, and excels at diving into data to analyze root causes and implement long-term solutions. Analyzes massive data sets, identifying areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, builds models to predict and optimize processes and works with stakeholders to drive improvements over time. Works closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from existing systems to create new analysis, build analytical products and cause impact across wider teams. This position provides opportunities to influence high visibility/high impact areas in the organization. Consistently thinks in terms of automating, expanding, and scaling results broadly. Measures and estimates risks, extracts and manipulates data across various data marts.

Position Requirements:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) using SQL, ETL or Oracle; (2) processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources; (3) performing statistical analysis; and (4) developing automated reporting.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $133,078/year to $160,000/year.
