Full Job Description
The position

The Business Finance Manager provides key sales analytics and reporting to support management decision-making. You will also play a key role in the sales forecasting process and building the Novo Nordisk Canada business plan. The role offers an insight into the entire value chain at Novo Nordisk Canada as well as exposure to senior management.

Your new role

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage forecasting of Diabetes GLP-1 sales portfolio (including Ozempic®) in collaboration with the sales & marketing team
  • Develop relationships and become valued finance partner to the commercial teams
  • Partner with Insights & Analytics team to obtain underlying in-market assumptions and layer in ex-factory assumptions for assigned brands into forecasting model
  • Responsible for continuous improvement and development of sales forecasting models and processes at NNCI
  • Drive the preparation of high-quality business plan, presentations and other reporting submissions to region
  • Present ex-factory assumptions to executive team / directors in coordination with the Insights & Analytics and Patient Access teams to ensure that all brand sales targets are understood
  • Monitor daily sales to identify revenue risks, purchasing anomalies and significant deviations. Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of weekly/monthly sales results and reporting to NNCI stakeholders and to the regional finance team
  • Generates sales performance analysis monthly and provides insights to management
  • Management of the accruals of rebates agreed to in provincial Product Listing Agreements and fully understand the terms of the various agreements' deals
  • Assist Market Access in the validation of provincial rebate invoices for the Product Listing Agreements and true-up the accruals
  • Design, build and monitor operating effectiveness of internal controls for the sales process


Your skills & qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree - Business /Commerce or other relevant specialization
  • 2 years' work experience in areas of Finance / FP&A or another relevant field
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with systematic problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Sales & performance analysis (knowledge of Pharma industry is an asset)
  • Systems - SAP Business Warehouse pack (reporting & forecasting), SAP Business Objects is preferred

Salary: For this role the Annual Base Salary ranges from $116,680.00 - $166,680.00

The placement in the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on your skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience match the position requirements

Incentives: Based on the role's level and other factors, the salary package may include short-term (STI) and/or long-term (LTI) incentives.
