Business Excellence Manager - Operational Transformation

Location: Onsite - Torrance, CA | Employment Type: Full-Time

Lead transformation. Drive performance. Shape the future. We're seeking a Business Excellence Manager to own the site's operational excellence roadmap and embed a culture of continuous improvement, digital maturity, and Lean leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for translating strategy into execution and driving measurable improvements in cost, quality, throughput, and operational performance.

This role is ideal for a leader who has implemented Lean in manufacturing environments, particularly in high-mix, custom, or made-to-order production settings where processes must adapt to changing customer requirements.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner closely with the Site Director to execute strategic priorities and operational improvement initiatives
  • Lead and deliver end-to-end transformation projects with measurable impact on cost, quality, delivery, and throughput
  • Deploy Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis) across production and support functions
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in variable, non-standard production workflows
  • Establish, track, and improve KPIs and performance management systems that drive accountability at all levels
  • Drive adoption of digital tools, automation, and data analysis and visibility to support smarter decision-making
  • Facilitate Gemba walks, Kaizen events, and cross-functional problem-solving sessions
  • Coach leaders and frontline teams to embed a sustainable culture of continuous improvement
  • Standardize key processes while maintaining flexibility for customer-specific production requirements

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or operational excellence leadership.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (Black Belt preferred).
  • Expertise in process optimization, KPI design, and digital tools.
  • Demonstrated success delivering tangible operational improvements (e.g., throughput, yield, cost reduction)
  • Direct experience leading shop-floor execution
  • Experience standardizing processes in variable production environments
