About the Role
The Business Development Senior Specialist – Texas, Litigation is responsible for working in close collaboration with the Business Development Director – Litigation, Business Development Senior Manager - Texas, key practice and market leaders, and colleagues across the Business Development (BD) department to support the related practice group and attorneys across our Texas offices to achieve their strategic marketing and business development goals. This role will be located in our Austin office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, industry, and market expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media; employing knowledge to develop and execute strategic business development and marketing plans, acting as a 7dot connector8 internally
- Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
- Building and driving the marketing strategy for the industry group with a focus on measurable impact
- Achieving fluency in our client base and supporting efforts to identify, pursue, and attain new business from new and existing clients
- Working collaboratively across teams on strategic projects
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Possess knowledge of the industry landscape, including various players within the industry, trends, etc.
- Display well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact with people at all organizational levels
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment with a customer-service focus
And have:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Business Development environment
- A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelor6s degree or equivalent, preferably
