Full Job Description
RTI is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives supporting Strategic Integrated Missile Defense and Golden Dome-related defense programs across the U.S. Department of Defense, the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the U.S. Space Force, Combatant Commands, and the broader aerospace and defense industrial base. In this role, you will position RTI's software technologies within next-generation integrated air and missile defense architectures, distributed sensor networks, real-time command and control systems, autonomy frameworks, and mission-critical edge computing environments.

As the software backbone for many of the world's most advanced autonomous and mission-critical systems, RTI offers the opportunity to help shape how the next generation of U.S. defense architectures exchange, manage, and operationalize real-time data at scale. Working at the intersection of defense strategy, advanced software infrastructure, autonomy, and national security, you will play a key role in advancing technologies that enable faster, more resilient, and interoperable mission execution.

The ideal candidate combines deep defense domain expertise with a strong understanding of modern defense software architectures, open systems approaches, and defense acquisition pathways. Candidates with prior military, government civilian, missile defense, space, command and control, or other operational experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic business development campaigns aligned with Golden Dome-related initiatives, integrated missile defense, and JADC2 priorities
  • Identify and shape opportunities across MDA, Space Force, Army, Navy, Air Force, Combatant Commands, and defense innovation organizations and hand-off to the sales team for pursuit and closing

    • Distributed sensing architectures
    • Battle management systems
    • Integrated air and missile defense systems
    • Space-ground interoperability environments
    • Tactical edge computing frameworks

  • Support capture activities including opportunity qualification, internal cross-functional teaming, strategy development, white papers, customer engagement, and proposal support
  • Represent RTI at industry events, technical interchange meetings, exercises, and defense conferences
  • Provide market intelligence regarding emerging defense priorities, acquisition strategies, standards, interoperability requirements, and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with RTI engineering, product, marketing, and executive leadership teams to align customer needs with technology roadmap priorities
  • Help educate customers and partners on the role of data-centric architectures and real-time interoperability in mission-critical defense systems
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, military science, business, or related field. Military experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of business development, operational, acquisition, or program experience within the U.S. defense ecosystem
