We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Personal Lines team in our Wilmington, MA office on a Hybrid work schedule.
Overview:
Responsible for new business development, servicing assigned high net worth/private client group personal insurance accounts, and the supervision of assigned employees in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and achieving maximum sales volume consistent with individuals and company objectives.
Obtain complete insurance information from prospective clients and business partners who are acting on behalf of their clients.
Prepare client risk management questions to obtain additional risk information that will be required by insurance carriers.
Interface with Hub production team and internal Hub support staff to develop a strategy regarding appropriate carrier selection and develop a timeline for proposal delivery to ensure an efficient processing of business.
Work closely with our insurance carriers to obtain the most appropriate client terms, conditions and pricing for their needs.
Prepare and/or present accurate proposals to prospects and clients. Close sale.
Prepare accurate and complete applications on new and renewal business, including narrative describing all operations of the risk. Collaborate on preparation of marketing submissions for new business.
Work closely with commercial producers who may be connected with these accounts and keeping them apprised of major issues and issuance of coverage for their client referrals.
Coordinate onboarding and the service transition to either the Private Client Group service team or Middle Market service team.
Collaborate with Account Manager to design and maintain appropriate insurance programs for existing accounts.
Assist with annual insurance reviews when required.
Assist in collecting money, arranging satisfactory financing or canceling coverage.
Maintain production reports and attend sales meetings as required.
Manage inside sales technical staff and other inside sales team members to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the inside sales team.
Manage weekly status reports to ensure the timely delivery of proposals to clients and business partners.
Coordinate team training (carrier, sales, team dynamics) to ensure personal development and thought leadership in the industry which benefits both team members and our clients.
Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry for the purpose of anticipating and responding to client needs and Hub growth and profit objectives.
Conduct business in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of both the business and earnings implications of the Company.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
Five years of related experience with high net worth personal insurance accounts.
Thorough knowledge of personal lines coverages and markets with particular knowledge of the high valued market place.
Producers license.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $88,571 to $115,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific positions business line, scope and level.
