A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Business Development Manager, you will lead the commercial growth of our newly established Power Transformers Repair & Refurbishment business in the US, driving customer development, market expansion, and strategic sales execution.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be instrumental in launching and scaling a new repair factory-building our market presence from the ground up, developing a strong customer base, and directly shaping long-term business success.

Reporting to the Head of Sales Operations, you will operate as a highly autonomous individual contributor. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, a customer-centric approach, and strategic thinking, along with the ability to translate market insights into actionable initiatives that drive sustainable growth.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand the customer base for transformer repair and refurbishment services.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across utilities, industrial customers, and service providers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key accounts.
  • Drive customer engagement activities, including visits, technical-commercial discussions, and value proposition development.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Service teams to structure competitive and feasible offerings aligned with customer needs.
  • Lead opportunity pipeline development and management, ensuring visibility, prioritization, and conversion of opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs to define growth strategies and target segments.
  • Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations to ensure win-win outcomes and sustainable margins.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth handover from sales to execution, maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of sales processes, tools, and best practices to support organizational growth.
  • Represent the company in industry events, customer meetings, and strategic discussions to enhance market presence and brand positioning.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in business development or commercial sales within industrial services, energy, or heavy equipment sectors.
  • Knowledge working in or with high-voltage power transformers and/or electrical equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing new customers and expanding market presence in a structured manner.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing business opportunities in a competitive environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes, including pipeline management, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience operating in a matrix organization, collaborating across technical and operational teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and structured sales methodologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time domestically and on rare occasions, internationally
