Full Job Description
We seek a Business Development Manager to grow our customer base in our North-Eastern Region. Reporting to our Director of Northeast Business Development, this position is responsible for enacting business development strategies, providing key opportunities to the organization that lead to business growth, expanding our partner base, maintaining relationships with OEMs, partners, and customers, and supporting the company's goal to be a thought leader in the access control industry.

This role is ideal for entrepreneurial individuals with experience developing strategies and collaborating with executive leadership to build and deepen customer relationships.

You'll have experience evaluating sales strategies, successfully executing plans, being accountable for the financial and strategic plans, and working collaboratively with other business units within the sales organization.

Location: This is a virtual/remote position; however, candidates must reside near a metro market in the Northeast due to operational needs. The Northeast territory covers VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY, VT, CT, MA, RI, NH, & ME.

Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with key business leaders to identify growth opportunities and drive new business development.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services to meet them.
  • Becomes an expert in Wavelynx's products and services to educate the market on solutions and articulate the Wavelynx value proposition.
  • Works with customers to tailor solutions using Wavelynx products. The goal is to provide the most seamless transition plan for end users from their current physical access control infrastructure to a state-of-the-art solution from Wavelynx and its ecosystem partners.
  • Works with marketing to develop sales presentations, displays, and materials.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.


Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or a comparable record of sales leadership experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience is required, with experience in access control or the security industry, or SaaS sales preferred.
  • Previous experience in building a sales function for a product line is desired.
  • Proven ability to deliver on revenue targets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


Salary and Benefits

  • Base salary of $100,000-$125,000 plus SIP (OTE of 190-200k)
