Core Function

UPG Company, LLC is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a minimum of five years of outside sales experience in the plastic injection molding industry. The ideal candidate, preferably based in Houston, Texas (though remote applicants are welcome), will develop and implement strategies to capture new business opportunities across various industries, including data centers, industrial, consumer electronics, medical, and energy. A strong network of contacts and the ability to travel domestically and internationally are essential. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with new strategic accounts.
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to deliver UPG products and Services into the North American market.
  • Manage UPG existing North American based customers/accounts.
  • Create, prepare, and execute detailed sales plans to achieve revenue objectives for each target Customer/market.
  • Maintain monthly forecast and sales pipeline.
  • Participate in account planning and strategy activities.
  • Cultivate Customer relationships, develop & deliver effective proposals, and close business deals.
  • Represent and provide market exposure for UPG at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on UPG's products/services, competition, pricing, market share and key product/services differentiation within the Global Market.
  • Establish budget revenue targets each year, on a customer-by-customer basis.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by the Global Sales Director.


Training Requirements

Initial training will be provided to ensure that corporate strategies align with the proposed sales strategies, including an overview of UPG's specific manufacturing services. Additional training sessions may be scheduled as needed to address evolving requirements.

Experience Requirements
  • At least 5 years outside injection molding sales experience with a record of success.
  • Prior experience selling ODM and Contract Manufacturing Services.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Plastic Injection Molding a must.
  • A 'Rolodex' of customer contacts in various end markets.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Visual Acuity
