Role Overview

Gradiant is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the industrial water and wastewater treatment market. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, developing a strong sales pipeline, and leading opportunities from initial engagement through project award.
The ideal candidate combines strong business development skills with knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment applications. They are comfortable engaging both technical and executive stakeholders to understand customer challenges and deliver value-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for industrial water and wastewater markets.
  • Identify and pursue new customers, industries, geographic markets, and application opportunities.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, generating qualified opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Develop relationships with industrial end users, EPCs, engineering firms, consultants, OEMs, and strategic partners.
  • Lead opportunities through qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to develop commercially viable solutions.
  • Understand customer challenges related to water quality, wastewater compliance, water reuse, process efficiency, and operating costs.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and identify new applications and growth opportunities.
  • Represent Gradiant at industry events, conferences, and trade associations.
  • Provide market intelligence on customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.


Requirements
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or commercial experience in water/wastewater treatment, environmental services, industrial equipment, engineering, or a related industry.
  • Proven success developing new business and driving revenue growth.
  • Working knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment technologies or applications.
  • Experience managing complex B2B and project-based sales cycles.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
