Open Position: Business Development Manager - Data/AI IT Sales (USA)

As a Business Development Manager with experience in Cloud, Databricks, Data, and AI is responsible for driving sales of sophisticated data and AI platforms, building strategic partnerships, and guiding customers through their digital transformation using cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and acquire new customers while growing existing accounts, focusing on those adopting Cloud, Databricks, and Data/AI technologies.
  • Develop territory strategies and account plans, identifying all buying centres and maximizing organization impact.
  • Use a solution-based approach to selling, demonstrating value via technical and business results enabled by Databricks and cloud platforms.
  • Guide decision cycles and close new business, meeting and exceeding sales targets, and managing a pipeline through detailed CRM documentation.
  • Work with C-level executives, technical stakeholders, and business influencers to align proposed solutions with business outcomes.
  • Collaborate across teams and with cloud partners (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to help customers build robust data and AI strategies.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in software sales in Data, AI, Cloud, and preferably with direct product knowledge of Databricks.
  • Ability to articulate complex cloud and big data technologies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Success in driving usage-based (consumption) sales models and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with decision-makers, including CIOs and data leaders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is typically required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of direct sales experience in cloud, data, or AI technology environments.
  • Experience with open-source and big data platforms, including Databricks or Informatica
  • Demonstrated ability to co-sell with cloud providers and develop business cases with executive stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital-native, fast-growing business contexts.
