Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
• Grow and retain existing customers by deepening relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and driving targeted growth and program launch activities.
• Proactively pursue and acquire new strategic customers by promoting the value of our solutions and attacking new business in the assigned territory or segment.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of potential customers through follow-ups, networking, prospecting, cold calling, customer referrals, self-generated leads, community involvement, and other innovative business development methods.
• Directly manage and grow assigned accounts, including emerging and key accounts, focusing on targeted growth activities and program launch management.
• Track program timelines and coordinate related events.
• Introduce and promote new products and solutions through joint selling initiatives.
• Provide sales-oriented technical consulting to support customer needs.
• Introduce, support, develop, and optimize new and existing logistics systems, including customer inventory management systems.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales to establish sales targets and performance metrics.
• Conduct market intelligence gathering and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
• Provide regular progress reports on business development and account activity and outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience
Five+ years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably in the fastener industry.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees of the organization, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer/System Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of:

• Current valid driver's license
