ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking aBusiness Development Executiveto support growth across the U.S. Federal Health Sector with primary focus on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), other Federal Health agencies within HHS. and FDA.
This individual will work alongside senior BD leadership toidentify, develop, and qualify opportunities across HHS and its operating divisions, as well asthe Social Security Administration.
The ideal candidate brings established familiarity withthe federalhealth IT landscape, a growing network of customer and partner relationships across one or more of these agencies, anda strong desireto contribute to a high-performing, mission-driven BD team.

Position must be local to the Washington, D.C./ Maryland, Virginia area (DMV) (candidate needs to be local or have the ability to commute to this location).
Job Responsibilities :
- Support the identification, development, and qualification of new business opportunities within HHS, FDA, and operating divisions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of an active opportunity pipeline in alignment with corporate strategy and growth goals across target agencies.
- Assist in building and nurturing customer relationships through consistent, professional engagement with both internal and external stakeholders at HHS, and FDA.
- Support the development of strategies to shape requirements and influence acquisition strategies for early-stage opportunities across target agencies.
- Research andidentifynew business markets, adjacencies, and potential teaming partners to expand Peraton's footprint within the federal health, veterans, and social services sectors.
- Activelyparticipatein and embrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process, contributing to opportunity reviews, gate reviews, and pipeline reporting.
- Assistin preparing responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), market surveys, white papers, presentations, and briefings in coordination with technical and program management teams.
- Support senior BD leadership in guiding potential customers by helping demonstrate Peraton's technology solutions, architectures, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with capture managers, proposal teams, and solution architects to develop competitive win strategies.
- Represent Peraton at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to build brand awareness and expand the company's network within the Federal Health communities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of2 years of experience with a Bachelors Degree or 16 years of experience with a HS Diploma.
- Experience supporting business development, capture, or account management activities within the Federal Health, Veterans Affairs, or Civilian space, includingdemonstratedexperience within one or more of the following: HHS, or FDA.
- Familiarity with federal procurement processes, including RFI/RFP cycles, acquisition strategies, and the federal contracting lifecycle.
- Ability to build andmaintainproductive relationships with customers, teaming partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and programmatic concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, enterprise-focused organization.
- High energy, integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to mission success.
- Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and the rules and processes that govern the capture lifecycle.
- U.S. Citizenshiprequired.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.
- Must be local to or able to commute to the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience within specific program offices, administrations.
- Direct experience supporting or contributing to contract wins with HHS operating divisions (e.g., CMS, CDC, NIH, FDA,HRSA, ARPA-H).
- Established relationships with Federal Health agency, contracting personnel, or key agency stakeholders.
- Experience supporting teaming strategy development, including identification of prime/sub partnership opportunities within target agency ecosystems.
- Familiarity with core service areas, including IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity,cloud,or health IT solutions.
- Prior experience with FDAand/orHHS.
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
