Business Development Director

Eye Clinic of Wisconsin

As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive patient and surgical volume growth, strengthen relationships with referring providers and community partners, oversee marketing and physician outreach efforts, and identify opportunities to expand our market presence and service lines. This role works closely with executive leadership, physicians, and operational teams to further our mission of delivering exceptional eye care and surgical outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and execute business development strategies that support clinic and surgery center growth.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with optometrists, physicians, healthcare organizations, employers, and community partners.
  • Develop initiatives to increase patient referrals, new patient volume, and surgical case growth.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for service line expansion and market share growth.
  • Oversee marketing, advertising, digital outreach, branding, and community engagement efforts.
  • Manage and mentor the Physician Liaison and marketing functions, including goal setting, coaching, and performance management.
  • Represent the organization throughout Central Wisconsin at provider meetings, community events, and industry activities.
  • Monitor referral trends, business metrics, and ROI on growth initiatives, providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with physician leaders and executive leadership on strategic planning, physician recruitment support, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Manage business development and marketing budgets while ensuring effective resource utilization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related discipline) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, physician relations, marketing, or healthcare administration.
  • Experience in ophthalmology, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, or specialty healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Proven success growing referral networks and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience using data to drive strategic decision-making.
