Detailed Description

Reporting to the Director of Global Engineering Sales, the candidate's primary focus is on technical Customer engagements working in conjunction with the Global Sales and Engineering Service teams as the key technical advisor and product advocate. This role is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology and engineering evaluation stage of the sales process through Customer award. The ideal candidate for this role must have a firm technical grasp on product design and development processes and ability to understand technical requirements while also effectively managing the sales process, customer relations and leadership to provide direction to internal project teams.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support Engineering Services business development across all ATS Market Segments.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Celestica Engineering and our customers, effectively communicating our unique value proposition and ensuring alignment with their project objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Engineering account and opportunity strategies by deeply understanding customer needs and market trends to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Specialize in providing technical insights and guidance for projects and developing customer strategies, demonstrating a clear understanding of market and/or region-specific challenges and requirements.
  • Provide support for product commercialization efforts, including integration of Design for Excellence (DFx) and Test strategies, working closely with Commercialization Services team.
  • Gain competitive intelligence and always tie insights back to unique Celestica strengths in the market.
  • Have deep knowledge of customer's business current macro and microeconomic trends, industry trends and potential new business opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
  • Act as the main focal point during the sales process, to understand customer's needs and requests, manage them and deliver winning business proposals and RFQ responses to customers.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Frequent overnight travel may be required
  • Duties of this position may require working very long hours for months at a time.


Typical Experience and Education

  • Bachelors' degree in engineering and minimum of 15 years Sales experience in a technical area; preferably in an EMS or other manufacturing background with focus of product design and development.
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50% of time (domestic and international)
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a matrix organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing a Multi-Million Dollar Sales Pipeline and demonstrated track record of achieving AOP booking plan results
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated


Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

Salary Range: $147K-$175K
