Full Job Description
JourneyTeam is looking for a Solution Architect specializing in Dynamics 365 Business Central Operations to work within our ERP & AI Practice overseeing and executing successful customer implementations of D365 Business Central. In this role you will gather business requirements, oversee projects, collaborate with technical and functional colleagues, and ultimately, deliver excellent Business Central solutions to our customers.

The Opportunity

The Solution Architect provides functional and technical leadership across all phases of customer engagement, with a primary focus on the supply chain and manufacturing capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role designs end-to-end processes across modules, leads workshops and solution roadmaps, evaluates business and technical trade-offs, and guides customers and delivery teams from discovery and design through implementation, adoption, and ongoing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assignments that are of a dynamic nature, projects which will require broad industry and technical knowledge of D365 Business Central, specifically Warehousing, Shipping, and Manufacturing functionality.
  • Operating with exceptional analytical and organizational skills while exhibiting expert execution of functional and technical project plans throughout complex implementation of business data transformation projects.
  • Ensure solutions leverage industry best practices, meet JourneyTeam standards, and are designed for performance and supportability.
  • Field and answer both feature and functional customer questions and conduct in-depth application research.
  • Translate requirements from functional to technical and vice versa between technical and business groups for system usage, requirements, and gaps.
  • Conduct business analysis, requirements-gathering workshops, process mapping sessions, and Joint Application Design workshops to define acceptable solution designs.
  • Configure and support Dynamics 365 ERP solutions according to customer business processes and requirements, including integration design with third-party systems.
  • Prepare business test cases and system test plans, conduct system test cycles, lead user training, and provide post-go-live support.
  • Create design, release, and support documentation; examples would be Functional Requirements, Functional Designs, Gap documentation.
  • Continual learning and awareness of modern trends and directions for D365 Business Central Operations capabilities.
  • Travel when required, likely once or twice a quarter.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent consulting experience, with 5+ years of related experience and specialization in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV) Operations, especially implementing these systems within a business (whether as an end user or a consultant).
  • Strong alignment with JourneyTeam values, including a demonstrated ability to bring humility, drive, collaboration, and sound judgment to customer work and team interactions.
  • Experience with discrete manufacturing; process manufacturing experience is valuable.
  • Expertise in supply chain ERP, including system configuration, Service Management and Project modules, and related ISV solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather requirements, perform As-Is and To-Be process analysis, conduct gap-fit analysis, and translate business requirements into functional specifications, design documents, and scalable solution documentation.
  • Understanding of project management and execution fundamentals.

Preferred Skills (not required)
  • Understanding of data integrations and APIs in the context of ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with third party services for the Supply Chain industry, such as warehouse automation or transportation services.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

Compensation

Base salary range of $115,000 -$170,000 + performance-based bonus program. Eligibility and payout are tied to individual contributions, team performance, and company success.

This is the established pay range encapsulating both the mid-level Solution Architect and Senior Solution Architect roles at JourneyTeam on the ERP & AI Practice. Where you fall within this range-and the level at which you are hired will depend on your experience, technical skillset, and demonstrated consulting ability.
