Reporting to the Regional Growth Leader - Ontario & Atlantic Canada, you'll play a key role as BCPL, driving growth in environmental services with a focus on mining and environmental planning. You'll expand Stantec's market presence by delivering high-quality solutions, while collaborating with regional leaders to champion safety, quality, innovation, and risk management.

Your Key Responsibilities

Client Focus
  • Leverage your experience and industry relationships to win work and engage new and existing clients to develop opportunities for Environmental Services with a focus on the mining industry
  • Consistently exceed client expectations through strategic account management across the Business Centre, while personally leading key accounts for major clients within the Business Centre and broader region
  • Drive key account management and foster organic growth across Ontario
  • Lead and contribute to strategic pursuits and campaigns targeting high-impact opportunities across Ontario and nationally
  • Develop and execute client relationship strategies in collaboration with Project Managers, Technical Leads, Sector Leaders, and local/regional leadership to achieve strong performance in client satisfaction surveys

Business Development and Collaboration
  • Establish and achieve client- and proposal-specific marketing and business development sales objectives, including driving internal cross-selling initiatives
  • Lead and actively support the development of winning strategies and ensure successful project delivery
  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators for pursuit success rates and client management excellence
  • Guide team members and leaders in expanding our reach and client base in the mining and resources sector through strategic marketing, business development, sales, and account management initiatives
  • Enhance Stantec's visibility by sharing our expertise and innovation through strategic client engagements that drive revenue growth
  • Apply effective Go/No-Go review processes and monitor compliance to ensure consistent decision-making and strategic alignment
  • Ensure opportunity pipeline data is actively maintained and monitored to inform business development strategies and optimize employee utilization rates
  • Foster a positive culture among staff and leadership across the Business Centre and work collaboratively with the other BCPLs to drive consistent growth and engagement
  • Champion Stantec's Safer Together culture and lead health and safety performance
  • Mentor and inspire technical staff while promoting inclusivity and diversity.
  • Recruit key talent to support environmental services growth
  • Lead innovation efforts including strategic initiatives and SR&ED tax credit programs

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Technical expertise in one or more environmental fields (environmental planning, permitting or consideration of other environmental fields such as ecology, waste management, hydrogeology, climate change or geomatics)
  • Account management, business development, and sales strategy experience in the Environmental sector, an entrepreneurial mindset and consulting experience demonstrated success in the mining industry is preferred

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Services/Engineering field with a minimum of 15 years of related work, leadership, financial management, business development, and consulting

Professional registration in good standing in your environmental field of expertise

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

About the Team

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
