JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our Business Banking Governance Team to develop strategies to streamline processes, including workflow solution development.

As a Business Analyst in Business Banking, you focus on the governance, oversight, and administration of Business Banking shared spaces, including SharePoint sites, Shared Drives, and Shared Mailboxes. This position serves as a trusted partner to business leaders, ensuring data is managed in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.

As a team member you will oversee data ownership, access management, retention, classification, and remediation activities across a diverse portfolio of shared spaces. You will frequently engage with senior leadership to provide reporting, risk insights, and recommendations regarding data governance and shared space management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Information Owner for Business Banking shared spaces, ensuring compliance with Data Risk Management standards, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee administration and governance of SharePoint sites, Shared Drives, and Shared Mailboxes, including access reviews, certifications, and inventory management
  • Review, research, and resolve access requests, entitlement issues, and shared space inquiries while maintaining strong service levels and control standards
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of user access, ensuring appropriate permissions are maintained and sensitive information is protected
  • Present shared space health, access certifications, remediation activities, and risk reporting to senior leadership audiences
  • Monitor data lifecycle activities, including classification, retention, destruction, and remediation requirements.
  • Execute and oversee data risk assessments, audits, certifications, and governance activities while maintaining supporting documentation and evidence
  • Analyze trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and recommend solutions that reduce risk and improve operational effectiveness
  • Drive automation and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and governance controls
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships across Business Banking, proactively anticipating stakeholder needs and delivering value through analytics, insights, and operational support
  • Demonstrate sound professional judgment, accountability, integrity, ownership, and disciplined execution in all aspects of the role

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements quickly
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting information to senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to independently manage work while effectively collaborating across multiple business and technology teams
  • Experience supporting access management, governance, compliance, risk management, audit, or operational control activities
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Shared Drives, Shared Mailboxes, and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms
  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Power Automate, Power Apps, or other automation and analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of data classification, retention, records management, and access governance principles
  • Experience developing dashboards, executive reporting, process metrics, and operational insights
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Model (LLM)-enabled capabilities
  • Continuous learning mindset with a passion for innovation and operational excellence
