Hiring Range- $98,509- $123,136

Summary of Position

The Business Automation Analyst combines advanced technical, mathematical, statistical, and financial analytical expertise to research, collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to provide critical intelligence for financial business decision making. The incumbent is responsible for the management and administration of the credit union's Fiserv Risk & Performance solutions and other financial management systems, analyzing technical requirements and maintaining them through their respective life cycles.

The Business Automation Analyst is also responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a diverse ecosystem of automated solutions - including RPA (UiPath), Frontier (automated reconciliations), the Financial Planning & Analysis Platform (Axiom, and its replacement), and SQL based workflows to eliminate manual friction points and optimize financial reporting. The position provides project and business analysis support for Finance related strategic projects, internal process improvements, and system upgrades to effectively and efficiently use TFCU systems.

The position exercises independent judgment in evaluating business requirements, recommending automation solutions, and ensuring implementations align with established governance standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and operational objectives.

Principal Accountabilities and Functions

Designs, develops, and implements scalable automation solutions using UiPath (RPA) and Frontier (automated reconciliations).

Partners with Finance leadership to identify and prioritize automated opportunities across Finance systems and processes.

Evaluates business processes and recommends automation and system enhancement opportunities that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce operational risk.

Monitors, tests, and optimizes automation performance, including troubleshooting and resolution of system issues.

Performs impact analysis and risk assessments associated with automation changes and system enhancements.

Drives process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational effectiveness.

Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in assigned Finance automation technologies and methodologies, providing technical guidance and support to business users and project teams.

Contributes to Finance's automation strategy and roadmap.

Manages and supports the credit union's financial management information reporting solutions (Fiserv R&P, Axiom) with multiple real-time integration points, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security through their respective lifecycles.

Researches, collects, and interprets large data sets from internal and external sources. Performs complex data mining using SQL to provide intelligence for decision-making, including NCUA Call Reports, CUSO reporting, and ALM data.

Creates and maintains comprehensive technical documentation, training manuals, and quick reference guides to expedite training and improve the end-user experience.

Maintains automation documentation, change management records, testing evidence, and control documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Ensures automation solutions comply with established governance standards, security requirements, segregation of duties expectations, and internal control frameworks.

Provides technical leadership for assigned projects and may coordinate the work of analysts, contractors, or vendors supporting automation initiatives.

Researches emerging technologies, system capabilities, and industry best practices and provides recommendations to management regarding future automation opportunities.

Performs related duties when delegated.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field requirement.

Six to eight years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, business systems analysis, automation, or related disciplines demonstrating success in financial reporting, process improvement, and technology-enabled solutions.

Knowledge in UiPath, Frontier, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel. Experience with Fiserv Risk & Performance application or similar systems is preferred.

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, NCUA rules, and general ledger transaction flow.

Has knowledge of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and all regulations related to the bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act and OFAC.

Working Conditions

Ability to lift to 20 lbs. with or without assistance.
