Full Job Description
Overview

As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between mission needs, user needs, and technical delivery — leading the collection, refinement, and management of user requirements from initial discovery through full-scale deployment of complex, AI-enabled software. You'll provide expertise in business process design and improvement, system analysis, and the transformation of business needs into technical requirements. In this role, you'll also work closely with change managers, training specialists, and support strategic planning across a variety of technical and functional environments.

This role requires strong business analysis, agile delivery, facilitation, and communication skills, along with the ability to bring structure to complex and evolving problem spaces to holistically support how users discover and access critical information through a modern, AI-enhanced search experience.

Contributions

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with our Service Designer and UI/UX Designer to facilitate discovery to understand client mission and translate needs into requirements
  • Envision, design, and forge requirements to enhance systems, optimize workflows, and streamline operations
  • Skillfully identify and mitigate risks with precision
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and customers to support agile software development projects
  • Apply facilitation techniques to host workshops and gatherings, guiding stakeholders to a shared understanding of the vision and building product and portfolio roadmaps
  • Break down large epics into features and user stories that are well-understood and approved by development teams
  • Document Acceptance Criteria ensuring developers, testers, and business stakeholders align on intent
  • Communicate with clarity, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and delivering impactful findings and recommendations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve how end users discover and access information through intuitive, AI-enhanced search capabilities
  • Stay informed on emerging AI capabilities and tools, and advise on their applicability to enhance search, workflow, and mission delivery
  • Support training rollouts and help grow application proficiency across the team

Required:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience guiding teams through user story creation, dependency mapping, and optimal solution design
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric approach, and the ability to thrive in diverse environments
  • Proven track record as a collaborative team player and leader
