About the Role

McKesson is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Business Analyst to support service operations, reporting, operational excellence, and AI-enabled business transformation initiatives. In this role, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate operational needs into actionable requirements, data insights, reporting solutions, and process improvements.

You will leverage service and operational data to identify trends, improve decision-making, enhance service performance, and drive measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with experience in reporting, metrics, IT service management processes, and emerging AI technologies that accelerate insight generation and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with business, operational, and technology teams to gather, document, and prioritize business and system requirements.
  • Analyze service, operational, incident, and performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, service reports, KPI reporting, SLA metrics, and governance deliverables.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and solution recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirements sessions to align business objectives and technology solutions.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to analyze large datasets, accelerate reporting, generate insights, summarize operational trends, and improve decision-making.
  • Support incident reviews, root-cause analysis activities, service improvement initiatives, and operational governance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with security, compliance, architectural, and business standards.

Basic Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, IT Operations Analysis, Service Operations, or related fields.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Experience with IT or operations business analysis, including service reporting, operational metrics, KPI development, and requirements gathering.
  • Experience analyzing service performance, operational data, incident trends, and SLA metrics to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and clear stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams in complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience using AI tools to analyze data, create reports, generate insights, and improve operational decision-making.
  • Experience using AI tools to draft service and incident reports, summarize incidents, automate routine reporting, prepare governance content, or accelerate root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Level Management.
  • Experience with business process optimization, process automation, intelligent document processing, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience with predictive analytics, dashboarding, reporting platforms, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience leading complex stakeholder discussions and influencing decision-making across multiple teams.
  • Healthcare, supply chain, distribution, or regulated-industry experience is a plus.
