Job DescriptionJefferson is seeking a Business Analyst to support our Jefferson Procurement and Assistance Team.
The Business Operations Analyst supports operational effectiveness through hands on requirements documentation, design, development, testing, and go-live for low code solutions supporting Department-level acquisition processes. This role may be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse. The role partners with business stakeholders to automate processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver scalable low-code applications that support digital transformation initiatives.
This role will be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and user acceptance testing sessions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demonstrations, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with analysts, subject matter experts, project managers, and technical teams to deliver solutions.
Solution Development
- Develop and maintain SharePoint sites.
- Create and maintain business process automation solutions and workflows using Power Automate.
- Design and develop Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI.
- Build and manage data models using SharePoint Lists and Dataverse.
- Develop Power Pages solutions for internal and external users.
- Develop and deploy processes for data intake, date integrity, data transformation, and data management from other systems and sources
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure services, Google Workspaces, and third-party systems.
Governance & Support
- Apply security, compliance, and governance best practices.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Maintain technical documentation and solution architecture documentation.
- Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements.
- Support citizen developers and provide technical guidance where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify additional opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Evaluate new Power Platform features, AI capabilities, Copilot functionality, and transition to Google Workspaces.
- Promote low-code development standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3-5+ years of experience developing low code solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, Google, etc.
- Technical experience with:
- Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven)
- SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience establishing security roles and permissions management and integrating with APIs and external data sources.
