Full Job Description
Title: Business Analyst II - P&C Insurance

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Business Analyst II is an experienced professional responsible for overseeing technical projects and ensuring their successful execution. This role involves managing project deliverables, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to complex technical tasks within large-scale initiatives.

  • Acts as the project lead for technically focused customer initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with client requirements
  • Acts as a technical consultant resource on a project team responsible for analysing, designing, and configuring business processes
  • Collaborates with other teams and stakeholders to assess current capabilities and identify customer requirements.
  • Elicits and documents detailed product requirements and use cases, ensuring clarity for implementation, and develops and maintains comprehensive business requirements to guide the project team.
  • Transitions the requirements and use cases to the technical team and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
  • Manage integration projects between DCLC and core systems to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
  • Comfortable using RESTful APIs, working with Microsoft Logic Apps, and writing SQL queries
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.


WHAT YOU'VE DONE:
  • Bachelor's degree required, or higher education level, or foreign equivalent, preferably in area with analytic emphasis
  • 2 - 5 years' professional experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience interfacing with customers, including customer presentations


Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience in requirements gathering, identifying gaps, estimating, implementation, test planning and execution, and User Acceptance Testing definition and execution
  • Experience translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for assembly, product, and user acceptance testing
  • Experience/knowledge of Loss Control Insurance software applications
  • Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for Loss Control insurance software


WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW:
  • Travel: ~25%
  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.

For reference, the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:
  • 85,400 - 122,000: Candidates living in the Boston, New York City-Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC metropolitan areas
  • 81,400 - 116,300: Candidates living in Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Minneapolis, or Philadelphia metropolitan areas, or in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Vermont
  • 77,400 - 110,500: Candidates living in Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oregon, or Wisconsin
  • 68,500 - 107,100: For all other U.S. locations


This position is also eligible for annual bonus compensation, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.

Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
