Full Job Description
What will you do?
  • Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation, and safe execution of projects, engaging with stakeholders and actively participating in all phases of the project.
  • Identifies, assesses, and manages risks and issues which could affect the success of the project.
  • Plans and leads scoping and requirements elicitation for projects - selecting and creatively applying a broad range of techniques to elicit requirements from a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Establishes requirements baselines. Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.
  • Applies a broad range of techniques to categorise, model, prioritise, filter and slice requirements to ensure a well-formed set, adapting techniques to fit the delivery approach.
  • Uses a broad range of text-based and diagrammatic techniques to document requirements, selecting the most appropriate techniques depending on the project context and approach to solution development.
  • Uses a broad range of techniques to validate requirements in a range of solution development approaches. Peer reviews requirements documented by others, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Uses a broad range of techniques to implement appropriate standards to manage change control, cross-referencing and traceability of requirements in a range of delivery approaches.
  • Uses a broad range of formal techniques to identify, engage and manage stakeholders. Negotiates with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts.
  • Contributes to the development of policies, standards and guidelines for requirements definition and management.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate.
  • Effectively estimates costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference.
  • Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
  • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale, and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors and other stakeholders (e.g. design authority, project board, change authority) as appropriate.
  • Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Takes appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. Actively represents the project team, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained with the business.
  • Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured, actioned, and reported to the appropriate organisational entities for dissemination towards organisational learning and improvement. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.
  • Plans the testing based on the requirements/scope, develops test plans, conducts tests according to plan, including coordination of test participants.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned


What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams etc.), and project management software.
  • 4-6 years' experience as a Business Analyst or in a relevant related role
  • Demonstrable experience of Business Analysis practices, Project Management practices, system testing, and quality assurance
  • Acquiring understanding and insights regarding the underlying issues in complex problems or situations through the development of abstract representations, the identification of patterns and the analysis of hypotheses.
  • Keeping organisational objectives and strategies in mind, and ensuring courses of action are aligned with the strategic context.
  • Understanding commercial considerations and ensuring alignment with them when making decisions or recommending actions.
  • Understanding the hierarchy and culture of own, customer, supplier and partner organisations and being able to identify the decision makers and influencers.
  • Understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.
  • Strong math, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, organized approach to multitasking and prioritization
  • Effectively manages time and consistently meets deadlines with some guidance from manager
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and effectiveness in work
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to doing quality work
  • Establishing relationships, contributing to an open culture and maintaining contacts with people from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $72,950.00 - $103,955.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
