Full Job Description
Description

You will work with a significant volume of existing data, approximately 100,000 lines, held within an existing system. Your focus will be on reviewing, organizing and simplifying this information to make it more structured, understandable and user-friendly.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Working extensively in Excel to review, analyze and organize large datasets
  • Translating technical terminology and data into clear business language
  • Identifying inconsistencies and helping maintain data quality and integrity
  • Working directly with Business and IT stakeholders
  • Participating in regular calls and meetings to clarify requirements and information
  • Taking direction and independently working through assigned areas of the dataset
  • Tracking progress and providing clear project status updates
  • Participating in formal weekly project reporting meetings
  • Managing a high volume of detailed work while meeting project deadlines

We're looking for someone who is comfortable being hands-on with data rather than operating purely at a strategic or process level.

You should have:
  • Professional experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with and manipulating large datasets
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to translate technical concepts into language business users can understand
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Business and IT teams
  • Experience reporting project progress and completed work
  • The ability to take direction and execute independently without constant supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively against deadlines

Experience working on a large-scale data review, data cleansing, data remediation, data migration or similar project would be particularly valuable.
The Ideal Candidate

You are a practical, delivery-focused Business Analyst who is comfortable getting into the detail.

You're equally comfortable working through thousands of rows of data in Excel and speaking with Business or IT stakeholders to clarify what that data means. You can take complex or technical information and turn it into something clear, structured and useful.

Please note: This is an onsite position requiring attendance in Houston five days per week. Candidates must be comfortable with this requirement before applying.
