Job Description

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is a leading and evolving global asset management company. The Business Support Analyst will be involved in all activities necessary to provide operating and technical support to the North America fixed income platform and will be a key member of the team supporting the operations across the asset class. This position requires a dynamic person who will enjoy a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to quickly build expertise across multiple disciplines within the asset management business.

How you'll spend your time...

  • Design, document, and implement fixed income investment policies, procedures, and workflows that promote operational consistency, reflect best practices, and satisfy applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a primary business support resource for the tax-exempt and CLO investment teams, helping ensure day-to-day investment operations run effectively. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performance reporting support, tax-exempt SMA workflow assistance, account onboarding coordination, reconciliations, issue resolution, and other business support needs.
  • Partner with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and other internal stakeholders to maintain efficient operating processes and proactively respond to internal or external changes that may affect the business.
  • Support technology needs in coordination with internal business partners and external vendors, including: ongoing management and support of current operating systems, including general Aladdin support, implementation of system enhancements and upgrades to existing applications and workflows, and deployment of new applications that improve business processes and operating effectiveness.
  • Manage small to medium-size projects focused on developing practical, sustainable solutions to operational changes, business needs, or issues that arise.
  • Provide business support, as needed, to the North America Multi-Asset Solutions team and other North America Fixed Income investment teams, applying consistent operating standards and helping address cross-team support needs. 
  • Manages and maintains the book of work across key investment management platforms, tracking and prioritizing issues and enhancement requests raised by the investment teams.

In-Office Collaboration

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $76,700 - $83,350 per year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
