Job Description

  • Business Analyst
  • Full Time
  • Hybrid

The Business Analyst, Associate supports the Program Manager, Sensors by bringing structure, visibility, and disciplined execution support to a fast-growing radar program and its small but expanding program management office.

This position serves as a mid-level program support role responsible for organizing program information, improving SharePoint and PMO operating practices, maintaining trackers and decision records, supporting configuration management, and helping translate program activity into clear, actionable information for leadership and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, and collaborative professional who can operate with limited day-to-day direction, create order from ambiguity, and support coordination across engineering, manufacturing, test, program management, customers, vendors, and external partners. Configuration management is one of the core duties of the role, but the position is intentionally broader than document control. The Business Analyst will help the Program Manager build repeatable processes that improve accountability, traceability, customer responsiveness, and program execution as the radar program scales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager, Sensors with PMO coordination, business analysis, documentation discipline, program tracking, and process improvement across a fast-growing radar program.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve program trackers, dashboards, logs, and working files that provide visibility into actions, risks, issues, decisions, deliverables, priorities, dependencies, and follow-up items.
  • Organize and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, folders, permissions, naming conventions, metadata, version-control practices, and records structures that support program execution and audit readiness.
  • Support configuration management as a core duty by identifying, organizing, tracking, and maintaining configuration-controlled documents, technical artifacts, customer deliverables, program baselines, and controlled records.
  • Maintain configuration status accounting records, including document ownership, revision history, approval status, baseline status, change logs, and disposition of controlled documents.
  • Assist with change control activities by documenting, routing, tracking, and archiving proposed changes, approvals, implementation actions, and related decisions.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of lightweight PMO processes, standard operating procedures, workflow guides, document-control instructions, templates, and repeatable program rhythms.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain materials for internal reviews, customer meetings, technical exchanges, program status updates, leadership briefs, and recurring program operating forums.
  • Track meeting outcomes, action items, decisions, dependencies, and commitments; follow up with responsible owners to support closure and improve accountability.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, test, program management, contracts, security, quality, finance, vendors, and external partners to keep program information accurate, current, accessible, and properly controlled.
  • Support deliverable visibility by maintaining logs, due dates, ownership, status, review history, approval evidence, and submission records for program documentation and customer-facing materials.
  • Identify gaps in existing PMO, SharePoint, documentation, and configuration management practices; recommend practical improvements that improve control without slowing technical execution.
  • Help translate informal program practices into clear, repeatable processes that strengthen business operations, technical traceability, customer responsiveness, and program decision-making.
  • Support business-process analysis by documenting current-state workflows, identifying friction points, capturing requirements, and helping implement improved processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, program management, project management, information systems, engineering management, technical management, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting program management, business analysis, project coordination, document control, configuration management, technical documentation, engineering administration, business operations, or a comparable support function.
  • Experience supporting technical, engineering, manufacturing, defense, aerospace, government, or other complex program environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex information, maintain accurate records, and create structure in a fast-paced program environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience developing or maintaining trackers, logs, dashboards, spreadsheets, document libraries, file structures, meeting records, process documentation, or similar program-management artifacts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain version history, action logs, decision records, approval evidence, and program documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on assigned actions, and support recurring program office rhythms with limited day-to-day direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with program managers, engineers, manufacturing personnel, test teams, contracts, security, quality, finance, vendors, and external partners.
  • Practical problem-solving mindset with the ability to recommend improvements to processes, tools, documentation practices, and program operating rhythms.
  • Ability to handle business-sensitive, proprietary, controlled, or customer-sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Department of War, aerospace, defense, radar, sensors, ISR, engineering, manufacturing, software, mission systems, or government-contractor environments.
  • Familiarity with configuration management concepts, including configuration identification, baselines, change control, version control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
  • Experience building or improving SharePoint document libraries, lists, metadata, permissions, version history, controlled repositories, or structured program workspaces.
  • Familiarity with CDRLs, technical data packages, engineering change processes, customer deliverables, quality systems, controlled documentation, contract documentation, or formal review packages.
  • Exposure to NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, CUI handling, ISO, AS9100, CMMI, or similar compliance and process-control environments.
  • Experience supporting a small PMO, engineering team, technical program office, or customer-facing program environment.
  • Experience preparing meeting materials, action item trackers, decision logs, risk registers, issue logs, process guides, program status summaries, or leadership briefs.
  • Experience supporting vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, or external partners in a technical program environment.
  • Interest in growing within business analysis, program controls, configuration management, quality, or program management.
  • Active security clearance.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an office, laboratory, integration, manufacturing, supplier, or customer environment as required by program needs.
  • Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to review program documentation, technical artifacts, trackers, SharePoint libraries, deliverables, configuration records, and controlled program files.
  • Ability to participate in program meetings, technical reviews, customer discussions, integration activities, and PMO operating rhythms in person or virtually.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support customer meetings, supplier coordination, program reviews, integration activities, manufacturing activities, or test events.

Clearance Requirements

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL).
