Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Business Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and executing the overall business strategy for their respective division or market. This strategy will support the Division's strategic and financial objectives. Lead a team of BD and Sales professionals responsible for new business acquisition while ensuring alignment with division's strategic goals.
Position Details- Creates actionable strategic business plan for the business segment that outlines sales focus (geographic, vertical market, etc.), critical marketing support and appropriate organizational structure to support business goals and expectations.
- Manages sales activities to ensure that strong customer relationships are established and maintained.
- Ensures the team follows internal processes, proper CRM usage and provides reporting metrics as needed.
- Manages business acquisition resources to achieve business objectives. Promotes team selling and expansion of existing relationships into new sales.
- Targets key projects and key accounts and develops and implements sales strategies to ensure successful sales.
- Supports sales teams in direct selling key/assigned accounts as required and is available as a point of contact for clients. Assists sales team in determining margins, identifying resources and assessing future potential business.
- Manages sales team's performance; provides coaching and training to develop skills with each team member.
- Manages Sales and BD direct reports and is responsible for coaching, performance, etc.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business or other applicable field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the applicable industry with proven sales record, including 2+ years' people management
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to set clear performance expectations, monitor performance, provide timely and meaningful coaching and constructive feedback to direct reports
- Highly effective at collaborating across departments and achieving goals through others by prioritizing, delegating tasks to appropriate staff and ensuring individual and team accountability
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily driving distance

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Mayland and Virginia this ranges from $210,000.00 - $230,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
