Job Description
The Opportunity
Build the Future with Us
Step into a pivotal leadership role shaping how building data delivers long-term value beyond design and construction. As the Building Asset Data Lead, you will define WSP's digital twin readiness and lifecycle data strategy for Property & Buildings-bridging the gap between design excellence and operational performance.
This is an opportunity to influence how major building programs transition into intelligent, data-driven assets, while building capability across teams and delivering measurable outcomes for clients managing complex portfolios.
Your Impact
• Define and advance WSP's digital twin readiness posture, enabling delivery of sophisticated, operations-ready digital handover packages
• Lead the transformation of design-phase models into structured, asset-rich data environments ready for operational systems integration
• Standardize lifecycle data frameworks using open standards (COBie, IFC) and classification systems (UniFormat, OmniClass)
• Partner with clients to develop business cases demonstrating lifecycle value, operational efficiencies, and risk reduction
• Act as a trusted advisor on digital twin and asset data strategies, bridging engineering, facilities management, and operations
• Establish integration pathways between BIM data and operational platforms including IWMS, CMMS, IoT, and BMS
• Build and lead a cross-disciplinary Digital & Data Leadership Council to advance governance and innovation
• Drive cultural transformation through training, upskilling, and mentorship-embedding lifecycle thinking into everyday project delivery
The Skills That Set You Apart
• Deep expertise in asset data management, lifecycle information frameworks, and digital twin maturity models
• Proven experience working directly with building owners, facility managers, and operations teams to deliver high-value data solutions
• Strong knowledge of data standards and frameworks including COBie, IFC, UniFormat, OmniClass, and ISO 19650
• Working understanding of operational technologies such as IWMS (e.g., Planon), CMMS (e.g., IBM Maximo), and BMS platforms
• Experience connecting design data to operations systems through APIs, ETL processes, and data integration architectures
• Fluency in BIM platforms such as Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud, with an understanding of downstream data impacts
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and drive cross-functional collaboration
• Strong communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear client value narratives
