The Aviation Department has a vacancy for a Building Equipment Supervisor position. This role supervises, assigns, directs, and inspects the work of crew leaders and team members in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and other commercial mechanical systems. The Facilities & Services (F&S) Division ensures that airport buildings, equipment, and grounds are safe, clean, efficient, and user friendly. Within F&S, the Mechanical Maintenance Section manages mission critical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, pumping stations, central plants, passenger boarding bridges (PBBs), and fire/life safety infrastructure, supporting PHX's 24/7 operations and superior passenger experience.
Duties include:
- Project management.
- Creating weekly work plans.
- Budget development and management.
- Contract development and management.
- Operating electronic communications devices.
- Creating electronic reports using MS Word and Excel.
- Coordinating work with other department work sections.
- Monitor and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Conducting preliminary surveys of proposed projects including blueprint evaluation, costing, and material procurement.
SALARY Pay Range: $35.78 to $47.95 per hour.
Hiring Range: $35.78 to $43.49 per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Three years of supervisory experience in the operation and maintenance of modern refrigeration and heating equipment systems.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Universal CFC certification at time of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
- Three years of experience with/in:
- Project management.
- Contract management.
- Four years of experience with/in:
- Working with large tonnage central plant O&M.
- Working with BAS, JCI, and Alerton.
- Developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience with fire and life safety systems.
- Experience with automatic gate service and repairs.
- Experience with automatic door service and repair.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience servicing and repairing pump systems (domestic water/ sewer).
- Experience with air compressors and compressed air systems (pneumatics).
- Experience operating Building Automation Systems (BAS) relating to HVAC systems, preferably Johnson Controls, Andover's Continuum, and/or Trane Building Automation Systems.
