Compensation

Salary Range: $33.15 - $45.88 / hour

 

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: 

The Building Engineer Lead will work as part of a team in directing facility operations across Community Memorial Healthcare,helping ensure a safe, reliable, and well-maintained environment. This position performs assigned duties directly and provides direction to department employees in the completion of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Current valid California driver's license
  • Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under Community Memorial Healthcare's insurance coverages
  • Fifteen (15) years of general maintenance experience working with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or mechanical equipment
  • Ten (10) years of hospital maintenance experience
  • Current knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations
  • Ability to read plans and blueprints
  • Familiar with Energy Management Systems (EMS), Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Preferred:

  • Associates degree in Facilities Management, Building Systems, Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Engineering Technolgoy, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in facilities or building maintenance, including experience with construction projects, Fire/Life Safety systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS) and/or Energy Management Systems (EMS)
  • Knowledge of tools and instrumentation used to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair building systems and equipment

  • Journeyman Electrician's License
  • Certified Fire Alarm Technician
  • Refrigeration Recovery License
  • Building Management System (BMS) certification
