We are seeking a
Senior Project Engineer - Building Enclosure to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and deliver building envelope commissioning and consulting services across a diverse portfolio of projects, including university campuses, healthcare and research facilities, battery and manufacturing plants, and commercial developments.
Your work will involve consulting, testing, and commissioning a wide range of building enclosure systems-helping clients create high-performing, durable, and resilient buildings. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier professionals, solve complex technical challenges, and travel to project sites in Michigan and other States.
Essential Functions - What you'll do- Lead design, submittal, and shop drawing reviews for building enclosure systems
- Perform and oversee site inspections and field/lab testing
- Identify and resolve field issues, maintaining clear documentation and reports
- Serve as a key client contact, providing technical expertise and guidance
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and multiple concurrent assignments
- Support development of internal standards and best practices
- Build and maintain client relationships; contribute to new business efforts
- Represent the firm at industry events and conferences
What You Bring- Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems and façade detailing
- Experience leading projects from design through construction and post-occupancy
- Hands-on field experience with installation observation and testing
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills
- Ability to manage priorities independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and visual/sketching)
- Willingness to travel regularly
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in building enclosure consulting, architecture, or engineering
- Experience with construction administration and field-based work
- Proven ability to manage projects, clients, schedules, and budgets
Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000 depending on experience
