Full Job Description
Position Summary:

We're seeking a Build Technical Project Manager to own the planning and cross-functional execution of our humanoid robot builds. In this role, you will own the build program schedule, coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, build, and test teams, and drive the dependencies, risks, and decisions that keep production on track from prototype through ramp. This is a program-ownership role for someone technically fluent and highly organized who partners closely with our hands-on build team to turn engineering priorities into predictable, on-time builds.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own the build program schedule, milestones, and execution plan for producing our humanoid robots, from prototype builds through production ramp.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, build, and test to keep builds on track, unblocked, and aligned on priorities.
  • Identify, track, and resolve dependencies, risks, blockers, and parts and schedule constraints-escalating and driving decisions to keep the program moving.
  • Translate engineering and production priorities into a clear, sequenced build plan, partnering with the build team, who own hands-on floor execution.
  • Establish and continuously improve program-management processes-planning cadences, build readiness reviews, status tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Own feedback loops from build issues, schedule slips, and readiness gaps back into engineering, manufacturing, and supply-chain planning, and communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in technical program or project management, hardware build or manufacturing operations, or a closely related role delivering complex electromechanical or robotic products.
  • Proven track record owning schedules, milestones, and cross-functional execution for complex hardware programs, ideally from prototype through production.
  • Strong technical fluency-able to read BOMs, schematics, and CAD drawings, understand build/integration/test workflows, and make informed tradeoff and prioritization calls.
  • Excellent dependency, risk, and blocker management, with a demonstrated bias for action and driving decisions across teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including establishing planning cadences and clear status reporting to engineering and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with robotic systems, ideally humanoid, legged, and/or manipulation robots.
  • Experience with program-management and manufacturing tools (e.g., ERP/MRP, PLM, MES, or project-tracking systems) and prototype-to-production hardware programs.

Walden Robotics offers a competitive total compensation program, including salary, annual cash bonus, company equity, company-subsidized insurance programs, 401(k) with company match, flexible PTO, daily lunch, and other benefits. The pay ranges noted on our posts is for salary only.

The pay range for this role is:

145,709.25 - 194,729 USD per year (BOS)
