Budget Analysis, Analyst to support a federal government client in the Washington, DC area.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on client and contract requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist with interpreting and applying budget policies, regulations, and appropriations guidance.
- Review and process financial transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
- Maintain financial records and ensure correct assignment of funding codes for programs and appropriations.
- Monitor funding levels and track execution progress to support program and financial oversight.
- Support all phases of the budget cycle, including planning, formulation, justification, and execution.
- Provide analysis and reporting to support resource planning, financial performance assessment, and program oversight.
- Track and organize financial documents and ensure timely entry into appropriate financial systems.
- Support budget activities related to shared services and coordination requirements as needed.

Required Qualifications- 3+ years of experience supporting budget or financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with financial systems or databases.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Desired Qualifications- Familiarity with the federal budget cycle and related processes.
- Knowledge of interagency agreements or Treasury processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective briefing and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to interpret federal budget guidance and reference materials.
- Relevant professional certifications such as the CGFM.
EducationBA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
ClearanceMust be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance and be able to upgrade to a Top Secret (TS) clearance as required.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
