Full Job Description
Are you an ambitious professional seeking a role with phenomenal team retention and the chance to handle sophisticated casualty accounts? Do you want to be part of a world-class team with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Cleveland, OH office? This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in our office!

What the day will look like
  • Provide Insurance Broker services for Property, Casualty, Worker's Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Excess, and Foreign Package policies.
  • Advise and complete the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions.
  • Complete placements within required timeframes and service those placements including their renewals.
  • Analyze and evaluate insurance programs for clients to identify the most suitable program including pricing, terms, and conditions for both new and renewal business.
  • Develop new and innovative solutions for Middle Market clients/industry.
  • Maintain positive relationships with carriers and underwriters.
  • Mentor and develop associate brokers on the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Aon team.
  • Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.

This Broker is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of middle market accounts, including placement and service, while ensuring client deliverables are maintained. You will act as the representative for the local office or region on new business and renewal opportunities. Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 10+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess) and Property coverages
  • Solid knowledge of Middle Market P&C risks and carrier preferences, including understanding of large Guaranteed Cost and Loss Sensitive program structures
  • Extensive connections with the carriers that write Middle Market P&C business
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills
  • Must maintain an active Property and Casualty insurance license, or be able to acquire one within the first 90 days of employment


Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $160,000 - $185,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Cleveland, OH. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
